Caring for society

Registrations keep coming in and the Irish Postgraduate Research Conference (IPRC) is proud to have its eighth and final student session confirmed. This session will host student speakers from various universities, who will focus on the different aspects of society.

The individual topics to be presented are:

  1. Water Access and Quality in Millennium Village Potou, Senegal. – Ana-Maria Murphey-Texeidor (UCD/TCD)
  2. How do people get involved in violence organisations (VOs)? Visual recruitment strategies as a driver for recruitment – Sheelagh Brady (Dublin City University)
  3. An Garda Síochána: Culture, challenges, and change – Courtney Marsh (Trinity College Dublin)
  4. A political discourse analysis of the Governments response to the McMahon report on direct provision – Annette O’Brien (Univeristy of Limerick)
  5. A study of Adult Attitudes to Photographing Children and their impact on everyday photographic practices and online image sharing- Glenn Doyle (Dundalk Institute of Technology)

Each speaker will give a 10-minute presentation after which the audience will get time to ask questions. Everybody is welcome to drop by and listen to the speakers.
